Fairly stiffly relined, cleaned and revarnished. Now with some general surface dirt and lighly discoloured varnish in evidence. Slight stretcher shadow to left edge. Finely spaced stable craquelure in several areas including to the central tree and areas of the sky. Some minor and sporadic areas of retouching/infilling in areas of the sky, the most concentrated being at the centre of the left edge running along the frame. Paint slightly thinner in some areas, likely by execution. Minor score/line to approx.8cm long running from centre of frame at the left edge (see image).

We are happy to provide Condition Reports to prospective buyers, but would welcome your request as soon as possible, preferably at least 48 hours before the Day of Sale. Regarding Pictures, Prints and Works on Paper, works are not examined out of the frame, unless specifically stated. Tennants Auctioneers do not cover damage to gilded wood or plaster picture frames, or to picture frame glass whilst the item is in our possession.
