In fully restored condition. Relined, cleaned and revarnished. Light surface dirt and discoloured varnish now in evidence. Paint slightly thinned any flattened as a result of the restoration process. Isolated areas of fine stable craquelure. A good degree of strengthening throughout the sky. More minor and linear retouching and strengthening to the shadows and definition within the masonry of the lantern utop the cupola with further fairly isolated areas of strengthening to the darkest tones and shadows of the areas between the pillars below the dome. The internal part of the pedimented window to far left hand side shows retouching and strengthening. With further fairly sporadic retouching and strengthening to the darker tones and shadows across the remainder of the facade, in addition to scattered retouching to figures in general and elements of the foliage. The edges of the canvas show a light degree of retouching in general. Tiny surface scuff/scratch within second window left above the colonnaded entrance.

We cannot guarantee a reply to any requests made within 48 hours of the start of the auction. The absence of a Condition Report from a lot does not mean that the lot is in perfect condition.
