Unlined. All keys present, fair tension. Feint stretcher bar marks. Finescale brittle age craquelure throughout, flat and stable. Tiny touches of overpaint throughout to the white pigment particles (?) protruding through the upper paint layer throughout. Overpaint slightly darker and more opaque. Some abrasion to the upper paint layers, particuarly in the darks and in the forehead and shadows of the features - mostly unretouched with only minor supression from tiny dabs of overpaint in the face and drapery. Further tiny touches of overpaint to minro losses along the bottom edge. A good even varnish, not appreciably discoloured. Layer of surface dirt and dust.
