Fossils: Encrinus Liliformis (Schloth.) - complete Chinese Crinoid.
This amazing, almost perfect single crinoid comes from the Muschelkalk, which is a sequence of sedimentary rock strata in the geology of central and western Europe. It has a Middle Triassic age and forms the middle part of the Germanic Trias, that further consists of the Buntsandstein and Keuper. This particular example also features several other pieces of fossilised material, one just below the crinoid, one at the top left of the fossil, and another to the right of that which looks to be part of a small Trilobite. The superb condition and the fact that this crinoid is complete makes it a very rare specimen.
