For "View on the Chitpour, Calcutta": Some time staining to sheet, particularly evident in the larger passages of sky. An incongruous mark within the sky that may not be by design (see photos). Some minor and sporadic foxing spots in evidence, with a larger spot just above the structure on the lower left hand side edge, but not exclusively (see photo). Some other minor surface imperfections. No evidence of cockling. Not examined out of the frame and has therefore not been dated.

The popular fortnightly Antiques and Interiors Sales attract a loyal following of regular buyers and they are a good source of 20th and 21st century collectables. Including a mix of affordable traditional art and antiques, jewellery, watches and more the Antiques and Interiors Sales are a great place for novice buyers to begin their collection.
This sale will include a section of over 90 lots of affordable pictures from a Private Collection in the North of England. Predominantly dating from the 19th and 20th centuries, the collection includes a broad range of watercolours and oil paintings, covering all genres from landscape and seascape, to interiors, genre scenes and still lifes.
