Provenance: The vendor's mother was an artist and model. She modelled for the Royal Academy and possibly the Slade School of Art during the early 1960s. During this time, she met and became well acquainted with Richard Hamilton.

Time staining to the paper. Some light surface dirt. The odd handling crease to the outer edges of the plate, a crease lower left corner approximately 15cm from the lower edge diagonally up into the left edge and one above this from the left edge diagonally down under his chin. Small/medium sized scattered foxing spots in evidence throughout. Evidence of old tape to the reverse of each corner, small nick from behind lower right corner but this does not affect the image to the front. Vertical crease upper right corner down from the top edge into the head, horizontal crease from the lower righ edge into the image. Other minor creases.
