General Literature. A quantity of general literature, including early impressions of modern plays, novels and poetry in the dust jackets (e.g. Vladimir Nabokov, Lolita, 3rd impression, 1960; Philip Larkin, Collected Poems, 1988, 3rd impression, signed by editor Anthony Thwaite; John Osborne, The Entertainer, 2nd impression, 1947; Dylan Thomas, Under Milk Wood, later impression, 1961; Jean Rhys, Wide Sargasso Sea, 2nd impression, 1966; John Updike, Midpoint and Other Poems, 1st UK edition, 1969), numismatic reference including Great Britain Pennies, Collection No. 1, 2, 3, 4 (i.e. 4 specimen albums of original coins), Dolley, The Hiberno-Norse Coins in the British Museum, 1st edition, 1966, and numerous others similar (qty: 8 boxes) Sold as seen and without reserve. Provenance: from the library of Royston and Ann Millmore. Royston Millmore worked in the wool industry in Bradford and was editor of trade journal The Wool Record. He was the author of Heatwave in Berlin (Canongate, 1978), based on his experiences in 1930s Germany, and Brief Life of the Brontes (privately published, 1947). He and his wife Ann were both stalwarts of the Swanwick Writers' Summer School.
