Further relatively fine and sporadic linear retouches mostly around the extremities of his right hand. Some general strengthening and overpainting around the extremities outlines, shadows and definition of his left hand and across the shadow and definition of his cuff in general and likley of a different date. Retouches to the lower right-hand corner, some general strengthening through the darker tones of the decoration at his left and right shoulder. Fairly sporadic and small size retouch within the gentlemens wig, fine retouch to corner of his right eye and edge of his right cheek against wig. Strengthening to the shadows beneath the tip of his nose. Some likely strengthening and retouches to his robe of a different date and not especially perceptible with a uv light. The surface is somewhat flattened and the paint is thin in places as a result of the restoration process. Some overpainting and retouching are visible by eye. Areas of varying sized stable cracquelure some relatively light discoloured varnish and surface dirt now in evidence etc.

Engraving after the portrait - Crack to glazing upper left-hand corner. Some general staining and foxing spots across sheet. Small amount of thunder flies/debris under the glass. Print slightly adrift of mount lower right-hand corner. Fairly pronounced cockling across sheet, particularly along the top edge. Not examined out of the frame.
