An old-fashioned stockbook of mint never hinged 1930s to early 1950s issues in an excellent state of preservation, offered intact as received aside from the 'Jind Service' set (Lot 116). Highlights include 1948 Gandhi 10rs in immaculate quality MNH, 1949-52 temples set MNH, etc, the States also free of toning where it matters incl. Gwalior to 25rs, 'Nabha Service' set (SG.O55/O68, cat. £325), Rajasthan handstamp overprints requiring expertization on Bundi to 1r and Kishengarh to 5rs, etc, etc. Please inspect.

261 lots including several exciting original collections fresh to the market. Highlights include a specialised collection of St. Helena stamps and postal history, and a very extensive and impressive holding of Russian postal history with a particular focus on the Post Offices Abroad. The latter collector’s interests also extended through the Baltics to excellent Scandinavian Locals, as well as around the Eastern Mediterranean from the Balkans to Palestine and Egypt.
Amongst the postcards offered in the sale are fantastic albums from a dedicated collector, of high-quality and comprehensively assembled, which include transport related cards of Leeds, Skipton, Lancaster, Teesside and Middlesbrough as well as excellent general Yorkshire cards.
