A French Maple-Cased Musical Necessaire, circa 1830, in the form of a grand piano with applied metal mounts and five turned legs, the hinged cover with mirror to the inside containing a fitted interior with lift-out trays containing silver-mounted bodkin, two pairs of scissors, an awl, scent bottle, needle case and a thimble, all with Petit Garantie mark, Paris 1819-1838 above the cylinder musical movement, 30cm long, with original cardboard box

Some contents possibly not original to case. Some typical wear, scratching and staining throughout. Top slightly warped. Sold with a mechanism key but no case key. Mirror slightly tarnished. Mechanism winds but not running.

Regarding Pictures, Prints and Works on Paper, works are not examined out of the frame, unless specifically stated. Tennants Auctioneers do not cover damage to gilded wood or plaster picture frames, or to picture frame glass whilst the item is in our possession.
