. Clear marks to underside of base, cover and finial part marked. Some sideways play in the hinge and a horizontal line running across the back of the hinge where the cover has rubbed. The ivory handle with some age cracks. A couple of vertical solder lines visible on the scroll rim , possibly part of construction. The decoration is of good quality and the pot is of a good gauge. Aspects of the detail in the decoration have worn through cleaning, mainly to the high points of foliage, faces etc.

We are happy to provide Condition Reports to prospective buyers, but would welcome your request as soon as possible, preferably at least 48 hours before the Day of Sale. Regarding Pictures, Prints and Works on Paper, works are not examined out of the frame, unless specifically stated. Tennants Auctioneers do not cover damage to gilded wood or plaster picture frames, or to picture frame glass whilst the item is in our possession.
