Emmanuel Villanis (Lille 1858 - 1914 Paris) "Cendrillon" An Art Nouveau Bronze Pedestal Bust, circa
Cendrillon is a chamber comic opera by Pauline Viardot, and is based on the story of Cinderella. The work has a cast of seven with piano orchestration, and was first premiered in Viardot's Paris salon on 23 April 1904. Marie (Cendrillon) is the servant in the house of her father, who is a low noble in an alterative reality of France where Royalty still existed in 1904.

Bust - good condition, possibly repatinated. Stand - some scratches on the square top around the two fixing holes. Some minor cracks and repairs where the top platform meets the base. Further small nibbles and chips around the edges. 250310
