Cennick (John) A large collection of sermons and other works by John Cennick, preached in England and Ireland, eighteenth and nineteenth century, the majority collected in six worn non-uniform bindings together with seven disbound works. [John Cennick, 1718-1755, was an early Methodist and Moravian evangelist and hymn-writer, initially preaching and teaching under the guidance of John Wesley and then George Whitefield, he later joined the Moravian Church. He travelled to Germany and then to Ireland in the 1740s where he set up several hundred Moravian societies throughout the country, particularly the Ballymena area of Ulster]
