An Arts & Crafts Bavarian carved oak dining room suite, made by Klaus Trommer (Tuntenhausen), April 1974, comprising a 6ft refectory table, on a carved baroque base, 180cm by 90cm, 74cm high; and a set of eight (6+2) chairs, each with carved backs, shaped seats on four carved legs, unmarked, armchairs 92.5cm high, chairs 93cm high (9) Provenance: Purchased by the vendor direct from the craftsman in 1974. Klaus Trommer was a master craftsman who supplied furniture for Hofbräuhaus, Munich. The family workshop is still making furniture near Munich.
