Collection in Lighthouse hingeless album, stockbook and binder, the main album with range of sitting Helvetias mint and used to high values incl. white paper 1fr gold (SG.60, cat. £1,700) mint, slight thin, standing Helvetias with lots of varieties incl. 1907 3fr granite paper used (SG.213, cat. £325), lots of different numerals and cross issues, etc. The other books have useful sets in used blocks of four incl. voters high values, a few booklets incl. pro juventute third issue (SG.JSB3, cat. £150), as well as over 100 postal history items incl. postal stationery, advertising, flights, etc. Please inspect.

Highlights include a specialised collection of St. Helena stamps and postal history, and a very extensive and impressive holding of Russian postal history with a particular focus on the Post Offices Abroad. The latter collector’s interests also extended through the Baltics to excellent Scandinavian Locals, as well as around the Eastern Mediterranean from the Balkans to Palestine and Egypt.
Amongst the postcards offered in the sale are fantastic albums from a dedicated collector, of high-quality and comprehensively assembled, which include transport related cards of Leeds, Skipton, Lancaster, Teesside and Middlesbrough as well as excellent general Yorkshire cards.
