An Early Victorian Mahogany Pedestal Desk, mid 19th century, the moulded rectangular top with a black leather writing insert above three frieze drawers and three dummy drawers opposing, raised on banks of three short drawers, on plinth bases, 153cm by 78cm by 82cm Provenance: Lyon & Turnbull, 25 January 2017, Lot 463

Fading to left side pedestal. Leather top is worn but holds consistent colour throughout, some cracking to leather. Moulding damages to 3rd drawer down on left bank. Some shrinkage splits to top of either side. Small area of veneer lifting to back of top on either side (minimal). All handles present. Odd marks and scratches throughout. Turned knobs are original, dummy drawer handles later.
