A French Empire Ormolu Striking Mantel Clock, circa 1810, case depicting a figure in robes holding a garland of flowers and a jug in the other hand watering a central basket of flowers, base with floral and bird decoration, acanthus leaf borders, enamel Roman numeral chapter ring and indistinctly signed and possibly Ls Peschelle, twin barrel movement with outside countwheel striking on a bell, silk suspension, raised upon a wooden gilt base and beneath a glass dome, 44cm high

Ormolu surfaces are slightly discoloured, case with surface scratches, centre hand brass collet and pin are missing, movement is dirty, both spring barrels are fully wound, movement is not working and not striking at present, movement needs a service.

Regarding Pictures, Prints and Works on Paper, works are not examined out of the frame, unless specifically stated. Tennants Auctioneers do not cover damage to gilded wood or plaster picture frames, or to picture frame glass whilst the item is in our possession.
