A First/Second World War C.B.E Group of Ten Medals, awarded to Major General L A Loup of the Indian Army, comprising C.B.E neck badge - cased, British War Medal, Victory Medal, India General Service Medal with clasp AFGHANISTAN N.W.F. 1919, 1939-45 Star, Africa Star, Burma Star, Defence Medal, War Medal (MID) and Jubilee Medal 1935, together with the miniatures, his dog tags and Daily Telegraph Obituary 22nd May 1991 **Major General Louis Anthony (Tony) Loup was commissioned into the Sherwood Foresters in 1916 and saw service in France. At the end of the First World War he joined the Indian Army and was posted to the 2nd/10th Gurkhas with whom he served on the North-West Frontier. He went on to serve in Chaman, Quetta, Bombay, Delhi, Persia, Iraq. He was posted to 4 Corps at Imphal in Burma where he was seriously wounded. He was twice mentioned in dispatches and appointed CBE for his work in Burma. He was invalided out of the Army in 1947.
