General retouching and infilling throughout sky to old craquelure and flaked paint. The darker shadows and outline of the branches of the trees have likely been strengthened in addition to the signature. Some of the retouching is evident with the eye. The paint is slightly thin in places and the weave of the canvas is therefore evident. Varying sized craquelure, most evident within the sky and particularly upper right hand corner. Otherwise in a stable state of preservation.

Regarding Pictures, Prints and Works on Paper, works are not examined out of the frame, unless specifically stated. Tennants Auctioneers do not cover damage to gilded wood or plaster picture frames, or to picture frame glass whilst the item is in our possession.
