Five large cartons of collections and good stockpages with many thousands of mint and used stamps, occasional focus as usual on postmarks incl. British Africa, interesting classics and revenues incl. India QV, New South Wales stamp duty, etc. as well as a lot of useful pre-1950 mint sets, blocks etc. Many interesting moments throughout this lot, cheek-by-jowl with run-of-the-mill remainder collections. Will hugely reward a thorough inspection.

261 lots including several exciting original collections fresh to the market. Highlights include a specialised collection of St. Helena stamps and postal history, and a very extensive and impressive holding of Russian postal history with a particular focus on the Post Offices Abroad. The latter collector’s interests also extended through the Baltics to excellent Scandinavian Locals, as well as around the Eastern Mediterranean from the Balkans to Palestine and Egypt.
Amongst the postcards offered in the sale are fantastic albums from a dedicated collector, of high-quality and comprehensively assembled, which include transport related cards of Leeds, Skipton, Lancaster, Teesside and Middlesbrough as well as excellent general Yorkshire cards.
