1922 KGV 3/- booklets SG.BB22. Edition 25, precancelled London type I, last pane loose otherwise very fine quality (cat. £850). Edition 42 with first and second panes inverted wmks, trimmed perfs on most panes, neatly dated in manuscript on front otherwise pristine (cat. £2,400). Absolute minimum cat. for the panes alone is £1,690.

Highlights of the October 30th Stamp Sale include a very extensive collection of Switzerland assembled over a lifetime by a former President of the Helvetia Society of Great Britain with focus on postal history beautifully written-up on album pages; a specialised collection of Ceylon with many of the key stamps including an excellent range of classics plus King George V key-plate high values, plus from the same estate a group of the Indian State of Jammu & Kashmir including a complete presentation album sent out in 1899 on behalf of the Maharajah. Also an extremely interesting large folio presentation volume of 19th Turkish revenue proof sets with ornate binding suggesting a possibly unique production for the Ottoman royal family.
