One of the better books from the 170-volume worldwide collection (Lot 178), a large stockbook with about 2000 mint and used stamps, starting with the first classics including Ceres 1fr x2 with faults, Napoleon to 5fr (usual thins), Peace and Commerce to 5fr incl. mint 1886 25cts black on rose and 1900 2fr, good postage dues, lots of Mouchons and sowers to explore again with useful mint, war orphans 1917 to 1fr+1fr mint and the 1922 surcharges and 1922-27 new values sets mint, 1918 red-cross MNH and used, sinking funds sets, high values especially the 10fr blue La Rochelle with unusual shades of the type I mint and used, 1936 50fr green airmail and 10fr flying boat used, through to better 1950s relief fund sets mint, etc. Condition issues, principally tone spots, nevertheless plenty of good items here.
