Taxidermy: Indian Leopard Skin Rug (Panthera pardus fusca), circa 1930, attributed to Cuthbertson & Harper, 10 Government Place, Calcutta, numbered 6389, a young full mount adult skin rug with mouth agape, glass eyes, limbs outstretched, nose to tail 190cm, across the forelimbs 128cm, across the rear limbs 115cm, with original canvas backing material, with serrated black felt trim, written number to verso 6389

the surrounding felt trim is in need of replacement, showing signs of historical moth damage, all claws remain, whiskers remain to either side of the face, very tip of left ear is missing (hardly noticeable), eyes good, mouth area complete, tongue good, all teeth present and in good order, tail complete, overall fur depth good, strong colour remains throughout
