A Colt Model 1855 Revolving "British" Percussion Carbine, .56 calibre, five shot, numbered 10084, the 53cm round barrel octagonal at the breech, with double hinged leaf sight, the top of the frame stamped COL.COLT HARTFORD CT. U.S.A., the left side of the frame marked COLTS PATENT in a curve over NOV.2 ????, the fluted cylinder with patent stamp for 1850 and with London proof marks, with root-type side hammer, under barrel rammer, saddle ring, brass trigger guard stamped P to the left side, walnut shouldered stock, the left side of the butt stamped J PIRIE & CIE, ANVERS, with brass crescent shape butt plate, 100.5cm

Action does not work properly, needs attention. Retains 80% of its original bluing. Brown patching to barrel, good crisp bore. Vacant screw hole to frame behind the rear sight and to the tang possibly for a sight. Minor bruising and scratching to the stock. Pitting to hammer
