A Fine and Rare Stainless Steel Automatic Calendar Centre Seconds Wristwatch, signed Rolex Comex, Oyster Perpetual, model: Submariner Date, 1000ft=300m, Ref: 16800, circa 1981, (calibre 3035) 27-jewel lever movement numbered 0789882, adjusted to five positions and temperature, black dial with luminous dot and baton markers, date aperture, screw down winding crown, screw back signed Rolex Comex and engraved 6006, inside back numbered 7276956 16800, case serial number 7276956, Rolex stainless steel oyster bracelet with a deployant fliplock clasp and numbered 93150 593, 42mm wide, with Rolex box, Comex knife, Rolex service estimate and a typed letter to the history of the watch

This Rolex Comex Submariner is regarded as one of the most rare and collected divers watches on the market. Comex was the premier experimental diving company in the market through the 1960s, 70s and 80s in France. Comex worked closely with Rolex for many years and a small number of the top professional divers were issued Rolex watches as a tool for their work. Rolex used this as a way to test their new watches and to resolve some with issues from Comex.

23.09.14, Case and bracelet with surface scratches, bracelet links are slightly stretched and slightly worn to some links, case with small dents, bezel is not turning and is scratched, case back engraved Rolex Comex and numbered 6006, winding crown is worn and part of the surface is missing, glass with minor chips to the edges and a minor scratch, dial is clean, movement slightly dirty and needs cleaning, movement in going order.
