Country collections in five volumes, some mixed condition yet also many key issues in very attractive quality. Includes fairly complete mint Malta 1885 to 1960s with 1885 1/- violet MNH and 1886 5/- rose, 1899 10/- small thin, 1902 'Pnney' errors on both shades and in pair with normal, 1904-14 set, 1914-21 to 2/6d with virtually all listed shades to 1/-, 1922 2/-, Self-Government overprints first issue to 5/- MNH though crease, through to KGVI sets to 10/- etc. Then Bermuda album incl. 1918-22 key-plate high values mint to 10/- (5/- and 10/- vlh) and 1924-32 high values incl. 2/6d MNH and 10/- mint, etc. The Bahamas in two vols. (one of which is auxiliary) with another good range of mint incl. KEVII and KGV to 5/-, KGVI complete and QEII with all £1 values MNH. Also Australia and States consisting mainly of the usually encountered issues. Owner's cat. over £7,000 not including the Australia/States. Please inspect.

Highlights include a specialised collection of St. Helena stamps and postal history, and a very extensive and impressive holding of Russian postal history with a particular focus on the Post Offices Abroad. The latter collector’s interests also extended through the Baltics to excellent Scandinavian Locals, as well as around the Eastern Mediterranean from the Balkans to Palestine and Egypt.
Amongst the postcards offered in the sale are fantastic albums from a dedicated collector, of high-quality and comprehensively assembled, which include transport related cards of Leeds, Skipton, Lancaster, Teesside and Middlesbrough as well as excellent general Yorkshire cards.
