1) [Sturt's edition], London: engraved and printed by the permission of Mr John Baskett, sold by John Sturt, 1717. 8vo (172 x 103 mm), early-19th-century straight-grain blue morocco gilt, rebacked with original spine laid down, pp. xxii 166 [1], engraved throughout, vignettes, tailpieces and initials, red rules, volvelle on p. v without pointer, ownership inscription of Elizabeth Boyce Muriel dated 1833 to bookplate and p. v,
2) London: John Baskett, 1734. Folio (388 x 242 mm), later straight-grain blue morocco gilt, recent morocco panels inset to covers, engraved frontispiece of St Paul's, gilt morocco bookplate (Mary Hutchins), A3-4 repaired, closed tears in 2O3 and 3A2, Psalms (London: John March, 1729) bound in at rear,
3) Oxford: by T. Wright and W. Gill, 1772. 4to (266 x 205 mm), contemporary red morocco panelled in gilt, rebacked and recornered, Psalms (London: Richard Hett, 1768) bound in at rear,
and 2 other BCPs (Mant's edition, 1820, 4to, contemporary diced russia gilt, repaired, and Bayley's edition, 1816, 8vo, contemporary straight-grain red morocco gilt, headcap repaired), together with a Bible (London: J. W. Pasham, 1776, 12mo, contemporary morocco, engraved title-page), and Friedrich Adolphe Lampe, Commantarius analytico-exegeticus ... Evangelii secundum Joannem (Amsterdam, 1724-6, 3 volumes, 4to, contemporary vellum, relined), these last 4 works not collated (qty: 9)

ESTC N/A (Sturt's edition), T198220 (Baskett: one copy only), N32792 (Wright and Gill: seven copies). This copy of Sturt's edition does not match exactly any of the variants mentioned in ESTC, other copies with this pagination having an ornamental border of cherubs on page v.

To include the Library, Pictures and Camera Collection of Eric Hosking OBE Hon. FRPS FBIPP (1909-1991). Eric Hosking is a name which will require little introduction for ornithology enthusiasts. The first professional bird photographer, he photographed over 1,800 species, and his pictures have appeared in some 1,000 books, including the popular New Naturalist series, of which he was photographic editor. To complement his library, Eric Hosking also built a fine collection of pictures by leading 20th century wildlife artists including Archibald Thorburn, Keith Shackleton and C. F. Tunnicliffe. The sale of his photographic equipment provides an unmissable opportunity to own a remarkable array of high-quality cameras, lenses and other apparatus by manufacturers including Contarex, Hasselblad and Zeiss, and will give skilled users the chance of recreating his photographic feats.
