Taxidermy: A Late Victorian Cased Diorama of British Birds, circa 1880-1900, a mixed cased diorama of British birds to include - Grey partridge, Golden Plover, male and female House Sparrow, Chaffinch, all mounted on and around a centrally positioned branch, amidst a natural setting of dry grasses and moss, above painted faux rock groundwork, set against a plain white painted interior, enclosed within a period single-glass display case, 60.5cm by 16cm by 42.5cm, a cased pair of adult male European Bullfinches, each perched upon moss covered stumps, amidst painted natural ferns and dry grasses, set against a pale blue painted interior, enclosed within a period ebonised single-glass display case, 31cm by 7cm by 21.5cm, a cased full mount adult Wheatear, perched upon a lichen encrusted branch, above soil and lichen covered groundwork, enclosed within a small period ebonised three-glass display case, 19cm by 11cm by 18cm, (3).
