Taxidermy: A Late Victorian Great Crested Grebe (Podiceps cristatus), attributed to W. Lowne, Naturalist, Fullers Hill Aviaries, Great Yarmouth, a full mount adult in breeding plumage, sat upon soil covered groundwork, amidst reeds and grass, enclosed beneath a large period circular glass dome, mounted upon the original ebonised base, raised on three bun feet, diameter 24cm, overall height 45cm, together with a Little Grebe full mount with head raised and neck bent backwards, mounted upon a green painted base, overall height 16.5cm, (2).
