A German Model 1865 Dreyse Needle-fire 'Jaeger' Rifle, the 77cm octagonal steel barrel with triple hinged leaf rear sight, stamped with Prussian eagle, various inspector's marks and 585 Stahl, the left side of the receiver marked Soemmerda FvD/B.B.Mod.65, 5824, the opposing side with date for 1872, with set trigger, walnut full stock with brass fore-end tip, ramrod pipes, brass trigger guard with finger rest, with steel sling swivels, cleaning rod and butt plate, the tang stamped 10.J.3.21 for 10th Jager Battalion, 3rd Company, gun number 21, 123cm

Gun cocks, but doesn't fire. Pitting to metalwork and bruising to stock. Generally in good condition, needs a little attention. Pitting to the bore.
