A George IV Irish Silver Teapot and Jug, James Scott, Dublin 1822/25, the teapot also marked for Alderman Jacob West, part fluted and decorated with a band of scrolling roses, thistles and shamrocks, gadroon and foliate borders, and on lion paw feet, the teapot 29.5cm long, 38.5ozt (2)

. Each piece is fully marked underneath. The teapot is further marked inside cover and on handle. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. The wear is noticeable as a softening to the high points of the decoration. There has been a repair to the fluting on the teapot, this is visible from the inside. The handle is missing its insulators and the cover is pushed slightly down and there is a bruise to the handle.

Regarding Pictures, Prints and Works on Paper, works are not examined out of the frame, unless specifically stated. Tennants Auctioneers do not cover damage to gilded wood or plaster picture frames, or to picture frame glass whilst the item is in our possession.
