A Japanese Carved Hardwood, Parcel Gilt and Ivory-Inlaid Shodhana, Meiji period (1868-1912), the pediment as a dragon above a moulded frieze decorated with flowers above an arched niche and eleven quarter panels with applied decoration depicting various figures across a landscape surrounding a central cinnabar arched bridge, the base with heavily carved foliage, on cabriole legs joined by a hump-back stretcher

The cabinet is in very good condition. There are some very minor losses to the carved decoration consistent with age. The carved apron has some minor natural splitting (see images). There is also some splitting to the bridge. The carvings on the doors are wood.
