A Rwenzori, Uganda, DRC Bow, the rattan string attached by the spliced method with twisted and plaited vegetable fibre forming a loop at each end to slip over the end of the undulating bow stave, bears an old collector's label inscribed " Ruwenzori, Uganda Prop. Leakey," 102cm, together with two copies of the Journal of the Royal Anthropological Institute of Great Britain and Ireland - "A New Classification of the Bow and Arrow in Africa" by Louis Leakey, and a paperback book "By the Evidence, Memoirs, 1932-1951" by L.S.B.Leakey (4)
