♦German States, Saxony-Albertine, Silver Thaler 1658 commemorating the death of the Holy Roman Emperor Ferdinand III and the assumption of the Vicariat by the Prince Elector Johan Georg II, mm acorn, Dresden Mint, obv. DEO ET PATRIAE 1658 around the Elector Johan Georg II wearing electoral robes and had on horseback and carrying a sword over hi right shoulder, small oval shield below with arms of electoral and ducal Saxony, rev. 12-line inscription with full name and titles of elector, diameter 44mm, weight 29g, minor contact marks/hairlines otherwise good edge and surfaces AVF to VF; together with Brunswick-Luneburg-Calenberg-Hannover Silver 24 Mariengroschen (1 Gulden) 1701, Elector George Ludwig (George I of England), obv. GEORG:LUD:D:G:BR:&l:S:R:I:ELECT around value and privy mark, rev. IN RECTO DECUS above standing figure of mythological 'wildman' holding a tree in his right hand, '24' to right, diameter 35mm, weight 13.07g, numerous contact marks/small digs, good edge, AFine.
