An Extensive Composite Service of George IV/William IV and Victorian Silver King's Pattern Flatware, various makers including: George Adams (Chawner & Co); Messrs Lias; John Samuel Hunt; Joseph & Albert Savory, London 1827-1873, comprising: 9 table spoons; 16 table forks; 15 dessert spoons; 15 dessert forks; 18 teaspoons; a pair of sauce ladles; and a sifter spoon, mostly all engraved with a crest or initial, the majority with a crest of a saracen's head, 173ozt (76)

The marks are overall clear. Some pieces have been erased and there are some differences to the pattern and engraving. There is some minor surface scratching and wear, the wear is noticeable as a very minor softening to the high points of decoration on some pieces. There is some minor wear and bruising to the tines on some of the forks.

 


We are happy to provide Condition Reports to prospective buyers, but would welcome your request as soon as possible, preferably at least 48 hours before the Day of Sale. Regarding Pictures, Prints and Works on Paper, works are not examined out of the frame, unless specifically stated. Tennants Auctioneers do not cover damage to gilded wood or plaster picture frames, or to picture frame glass whilst the item is in our possession.
