A Good Mahogany Eight Day Longcase Clock with Year Calendar Dial Display, signed William Lassel, Toxteth Park, circa 1780, swan neck pediment, eglomise gilt painted glass panels, Corinthian capped columns, flame veneered trunk door flanked by inset fluted pilasters, plinth with brick form canted corners, 13-1/2-inch arch brass dial, silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring with an outer year calendar track and with a corresponding central date hand, finely engraved dial centre with a pagoda, scroll and floral decoration, arch with moonphase aperture and signed above on a silvered plaque, 260cm high

Hood with chips to the edges and beading missing to the underside edges, trunk door with a crack to the topside, plinth with some cracks, skirting with chips and scuff marks, dial with small scratches and slightly discoloured in parts, movement is complete, date hand and moon disc are moving when setting the hands, movement is complete, with two weights and a pendulum.
