The Commonwealth volumes from an Anglesey estate, twenty-five albums/stockbooks in two cartons and container, with Canada incl. 1897 10cts and 15cts mint, 50cts used, KEVII 50cts shades used, 1908 15cts mint, etc, Australia roos to 5/- used and 9d mint through to QEII denominations to $10 mint, Ascension 1938 mint to 10/-, Hong Kong incl. KGV $10 cds used, as well as useful New Zealand, Malta, Gibraltar, 1946 Victory omnibus set MNH, 1938/39 KGVI philatelic covers, etc, etc. Also c.1930 edition Imperial album for Commonwealth to 1928 largely empty aside from penny black (spacefiller) and 1d red plates. Occasional duplication, mixed condition, varieties to be found.

261 lots including several exciting original collections fresh to the market. Highlights include a specialised collection of St. Helena stamps and postal history, and a very extensive and impressive holding of Russian postal history with a particular focus on the Post Offices Abroad. The latter collector’s interests also extended through the Baltics to excellent Scandinavian Locals, as well as around the Eastern Mediterranean from the Balkans to Palestine and Egypt.
Amongst the postcards offered in the sale are fantastic albums from a dedicated collector, of high-quality and comprehensively assembled, which include transport related cards of Leeds, Skipton, Lancaster, Teesside and Middlesbrough as well as excellent general Yorkshire cards.
