A Mid-18th Century Japanese Wakizashi, the 42cm steel blade with one piece copper habaki, (tang unseen), small oblong iron tsuba worked with waves and clouds, braid bound fish skin grip with parcel gilt bronze triple maple leaf menuki, crane decorated fuchi and kashira, with green teadust lacquer saya and later kozuka.
