♦2 x Swiss Cantons, Silver Coins comprising: (1) City of St. Gallen, Thaler 1621 obv. MO:NO:CIVIT:SANGALLENSIS around bear standing left, rev. SOLI DEO OPT MAX LAVS ET GLORIA around crowned double-headed Imperial Eagle, diameter 39mm, weight 28.30g, light contact marks/hairlines, two edge digs at 3 o'clock, AFine to Fine; and Abbey of Beromünster (Lucerne), Half Thaler Undated (1720), one of several varieties struck to commemorate the 1000th anniversary of the founding of the Abbey in 720AD by Bero, Count of Lenzburg, obv. BERO COM:DE LENZB:FUNDA:ECCL:BERON around ornate scrollwork enclosing crowned and helmeted shield of arms of Lucerne, plumes above crown, rev. COLLEG:BERO:SVIS:BENEV:D:D around standing winged figure of Archangel Michael, sword raised over right shoulder, slaying horned devil lying on the ground below, diameter 35mm, weight 13.63g, hairlines, full clear legends, struck very slightly off-centre and uneven edge in parts, overall an attractive AFine to Fine.
