A Gold Quarter Repeating Pair Cased Verge Pocket Watch, signed Thomas Rayment, London, no.557, circa 1770, gilt fusee movement signed and numbered, diamond endstone, turned pillars, dust cover signed and numbered, striking on a polished bell, enamel dial with outer Arabic numerals and initials for the hour markers C:Tower 6th May 72, beetle and poker hands, outer case with pierced borders depicting scroll, floral and shell motifs, central engraved family crest and stamped with maker's mark PM, inner case with pierced borders with mask, birds and scroll decoration, push pendant to operate repeat, 47mm wide

25.09.14, Outer case with a small split next to the pendant opening, case back with slight rubbing to the decoration and small dents to the pierced border, front bezel with a small split positioned at 7 o'clock, centre of the case back with an engraved family crest, gold hallmark date letter is rubbed, inner case with glass missing, pendant and bow appear to be later, dial with a hairline crack and a chip to the dial edge positioned at 6 o'clock, movement in going order, repeat is functioning.
