Specialised collection of imperf and perf 1d reds written-up in two albums, the first album with 41 imperf plates from 1b to 45 (Alphabet 1) all four-margins including 7 from the plates of the penny black. The second album is for the four-corner-letters plates (562 stamps) to plate 224 in generally decent quality including occasional mint/unused, multiples, quite a few cds examples some superb. Please inspect.

Highlights of the October 30th Stamp Sale include a very extensive collection of Switzerland assembled over a lifetime by a former President of the Helvetia Society of Great Britain with focus on postal history beautifully written-up on album pages; a specialised collection of Ceylon with many of the key stamps including an excellent range of classics plus King George V key-plate high values, plus from the same estate a group of the Indian State of Jammu & Kashmir including a complete presentation album sent out in 1899 on behalf of the Maharajah. Also an extremely interesting large folio presentation volume of 19th Turkish revenue proof sets with ornate binding suggesting a possibly unique production for the Ottoman royal family.
