The Northumberland Local Militia and the Napoleonic War 1809-1853:- a Unique Collection of Sixty Six Documents printed by William Davison. Printer, Alnwick, Northumberland. The documents relate to the balloting of men to enrol in the various wards of the local Militia, enrolment certificates, attestations, reports, confinement documents for deserters, monthly returns of men, fund raising for British Prisoners of War in France, Northumberland Collection documents for Out-Pensioners of Chelsea Hospital, etc, in a folder. Together with research material on the multi-talented William Davison (1781-1858) who was a pharmacist, apothecary, printer, engraver/etcher, bookseller, stationer, publisher, bookbinder, librarian etc., etc.
