Approx 10,000 stamps neatly organised A-Z by country in six blue boxed binders, mostly 20th century issues into the 2010s with virtually no duplication, majority used, however does include mint 1990s and occasional 2000s sets, miniature sheets and high values of places like Australia, Canada, Singapore, etc. Accompanied by a little literature and a stack of new Hagner stockpages. 261 lots including several exciting original collections fresh to the market. Highlights include a specialised collection of St. Helena stamps and postal history, and a very extensive and impressive holding of Russian postal history with a particular focus on the Post Offices Abroad. The latter collector’s interests also extended through the Baltics to excellent Scandinavian Locals, as well as around the Eastern Mediterranean from the Balkans to Palestine and Egypt.
Amongst the postcards offered in the sale are fantastic albums from a dedicated collector, of high-quality and comprehensively assembled, which include transport related cards of Leeds, Skipton, Lancaster, Teesside and Middlesbrough as well as excellent general Yorkshire cards.
