Two Medieval Rings
Probably English, 14th or 15th Century

one with an octagonal bezel engraved with Gothic initials JP within a rope twist border; the other with a circular bezel depicting a geometric form similar to a W with the sun above and crescent moon below, the shank decorated with hatching
finger size S1/2 and T1/2

The rings are in fair condition with scratching and scuffing commensurate with age. The octagonal bezel ring tests as silver and copper, the circular bezel ring tests as silver and germanium. Gross weight 26.0 grams.
