Fully marked under kettle and lamp. The stand part marked with leopard's head, lion passant and date letter. The cover of the kettle marked with maker's mark and lion passant. The lamp cover apparently unmarked. The marks are generally clear, though those on the stand are marked on the edge of the lower rim so the marks are partly cut off. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. The wear is noticeable as a softening to the engraving. There is a repair below the spout and some surface uneveness overall. The pins and chains which hold the kettle to the stand are later. There is a repair to the cover of the lamp. The raffia covering on the handle is later.
