SARMATIA DEVICTA around Victory advancing holding trophy & palm, captive at feet; mm AR (Arles, France) preceded by officina mark S & star (part of a series commemorating Constantine’s success in his Danubian campaign against the Sarmatians & Germanic tribes in 322AD), very good edge & surfaces, virtually as struck, together with Constantine II, billon centenionalis obv. CONSTANTINVS IVN NOB C around laureate draped & cuirassed bust, rev. PROVIDENTIAE CAESS around two-turreted gateway of a military camp, star above, mm S M ANT in ex. followed by officina mark, good edge & surfaces, well struck EF to GEF.
