by Roberts and Belk, Sheffield, 1942

Hanoverian pattern, comprising:
6 table-spoons, one engraved with initials
12 table-forks
12 soup-spoons
12 dessert-spoons
12 dessert-forks
12 teaspoons
12 coffee-spoons
contained in a fitted walnut finish canteen with two drawers and on square legs, with spaces for other items
and the following with ivory handles and stainless steel attachments:
12 table-knives
12 cheese-knives
A four-piece carving-set
A bread-knife with composition handle
TOGETHER WITH: a quantity of non-matching pieces, mostly silver plate

the canteen 68cm wide by 40cm deep by 76.5cm high, weight of silver 108oz 7dwt, 3,370gr

with Maple and Co., Tottenham Court Road, London, circa 1942.

Each piece marked as expected. One table-spoon engraved with initials 'FB', the remaining piece unengraved. There is some minor surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. There is some minor bruising to the tines on some pieces. There is some scratching and marks to the case.
