A George III Silver Vinaigrette
by T. Simpson and Son, Birmingham, 1816

in the form of a satchel, opens to reveal a hinged grille pierced and engraved with foliage and flowers

37mm wide, 10dwt, 16gr

Part marked inside base and cover. The grille marked with lion passant. There is some surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. The wear is noticeable as a softening to the engraving. There is some minor bruising to the base and cover.
