Hanoverian pattern, comprising:
12 table-spoons, three 1975
12 table-forks
12 dessert-spoons
12 dessert-forks
12 teaspoons
12 coffee-spoons
2 sauce-ladles
and the following with filled handles and stainless steel blades:
12 table-knives, six by C. J. Vander, 1973
12 cheese knives, seven by C. J. Vander, 1973
and the following with filled handles and silver blades or tines:
12 fish-forks
12 fish-knives
12 fruit-forks
12 fruit-knives
in a fitted mahogany finish canteen with hinged cover and three removable trays
the canteen 49.5cm wide, weighable silver 111oz 17dwt, 3,477gr (146)

Each piece marked on handle. All pieces are marked for Tessiers Ltd and all except for three table-spoon are hallmarked for 1972. Some fish-knives and fish-forks are marked for London and others for Sheffield. There is some surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. There is some bruising to some fish-forks. There are some scuffs and scratches to the case. Some of the trays have become warped and do not fit into the canteen properly.
