White initialled hankie wiht zig zag edge - splits to one corner, top of the lace trim shows some wear. Cream carrickmacross trimmed hankie - some wear to the edges of the outer lace, couple of tiny spot marks to the centre, and loose threads. White hankie with ovals to corners with flower head - some light spots/marks. White hankie embroidered with 'Mabel' - several small tears to the left of Mabel, some brown marks to one corner and slight wear overall. Drawn thread work hankie - slight wear. Embroidered trim to flower head shaped centre - some small tears to the centre. White cotton square hankie with embroidery - some brown marks and thread pull. Cream hankie initialled EB - discoloured overall and some thread pulls. Cotton gauze hankie, initialled JB with embroidery to corner - some brown marks in areas, very detailed embroidery. White cotton hankie - floral mount - several holes to the corners an dthe lace, some very light stains and wear to the edges. Cream silk hankie - SG Rogers writtten to the centre, border embroidered with floral posies and scrolling shapes - condition good.

We are happy to provide Condition Reports to prospective buyers, but would welcome your request as soon as possible, preferably at least 48 hours before the Day of Sale. We cannot guarantee a reply to any requests made within 48 hours of the start of the auction. The absence of a Condition Report from a lot does not mean that the lot is in perfect condition. All lots are available on public view ahead of an auction and we encourage prospective buyers to inspect an item in person where possible. Our Condition Reports are not prepared by professional conservators, restorers, or engineers, and are prepared with the naked eye unless otherwise stated.

Regarding Pictures, Prints and Works on Paper, works are not examined out of the frame, unless specifically stated. Tennants Auctioneers do not cover damage to gilded wood or plaster picture frames, or to picture frame glass whilst the item is in our possession.
